In The Beginning—GOD!

It is more than fitting for us as The Rock Church, embarking on our first ‘preview gathering,’ to be starting with the beginning, the first book of the Bible—Genesis!

Chapter 1 of Genesis is an incredible passage that highlights many things about the creation of the cosmos. Some would focus on the creation itself and marvel or question how it was actually accomplished, or at least, over what period of time. But that is not the real point.

It is not about the how, but about the Who!

Moses was writing during a period when his people were struggling to hold their faith in one, true God, in the midst of both polytheism and pantheism. Inspired by the Spirit of God, Moses pens the book that declares emphatically, that Elohim, Yahweh, the one true God IS and He created all things!
