In the Beginning—The Fall
Podcast: Play in new window | Download
On Sunday, September 6th, at our third preview gathering, we discovered that what started out as a wonderful love story, unfortunately ends in tragedy. Man’s fall from God’s intended position and place for them is certainly tragic, however we see hope in both the judgment of God, the punishment necessary for sin, and in the foreshadowing of God’s redemptive plan for us in Jesus Christ!
On Sunday, September 13th, we will continue our look into Genesis chapter 3 and the results of Adam and Eve’s disobedience. By listening to the serpent’s lies about the very Word of God, they traded trust in God alone and believed the lie.
God’s judgement of sin is quick, decisive and final. Adam will be held responsible by God for the entrance of sin into His perfect creation and the consequences will be real.
