The Rock Has Moved!
So, here’s the story. Our best laid plans have been changed and, in this case, it is a very good thing.
As we began our first ‘preview’ gathering on August 9th at the beautiful Squamish Adventure Centre, we were quickly surprised by the number of people showing up. We had not publicly advertised the event and therefore we were just expecting our core group and a few family and friends whom we had invited. By the time the service began the theatre was full including a few extra folding chairs.
Each week since then attendance has grown and we therefore decided to postpone our official launch service for The Rock Church until Sunday, September 27th so that we could arrange for a larger and more practical place for our church gatherings.
Today, we received confirmation that we are welcome to use the wonderful Eagle Eye Community Theatre at Howe Sound Secondary School starting this Sunday, September 13th. There is seating for 180 people in a stadium/theatre style and they have also graciously provided us with excellent additional space for our KidsRock Sunday School!
Please pass the word around to everyone who has been coming out that The Rock Church will be continuing with two more preview gatherings this Sunday, September 13th and the following Sunday, September 20th @ 10:00 AM. Coffee, tea and some snacks will available after 9:30 AM so come early and check out the new digs!
Our official public launch will then be held at the Eagle Eye Community Theatre on Sunday, September 27th!
