In this week’s message podcast we begin a new study in the Gospel of Matthew from verses 1:1-17. This week Matthew introduces us to the King of Israel, the rightful heir to David’s throne, Jesus Christ. The genealogy is Matthew’s attempt to show his fellow Jews that Jesus is the legal heir to David’s throne and the racial heir of Abraham.
