We are followers of the one true Jesus Christ, who love God, love our neighbours and love Squamish. We value Jesus above all, authenticity, creativity and generosity and seek to engage our culture with the amazing grace of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We don’t pretend to have our lives all together, but we do turn our lives over to an awesome God who does.</itunes:summary>

At The Rock Church we hold the ministry and practice of prayer in high regard. We hope that you will join with us as we embark on these 40 Days of Prayer and use these prayer opportunities as an important part of your personal spiritual growth.

Throughout the whole Bible, prayer is defined as constant, personal communication with God. We do not offer our prayers so that God can find out what we need, since Jesus tells us,

“Your Father knows what you need before you ask him” (Matthew 6:8)

Instead, God wants us to pray because prayer expresses our trust in Jesus and is the means by which our trust in Him can increase. In addition, we are seeking his will, wisdom and direction for ourselves and and our church, for this New Year.

Download the 40 Days of Prayer Guide Book for details on each week’s prayer focus and more information. Currently we have the Introduction and Week’s 1-3 available. We will be updating the Guide Book each Wednesday adding the following week’s theme and information, so please check back here each week.
