WHAT IS A SMALL GROUP COMMUNITY?
The Rock Church’s Small Group Communities gather weekly for fellowship, great food and cool drinks, study and prayer, good times and tears, and are an essential expression of our church’s mission.
At the heart of community groups is the desire to see a community of believers who worship Jesus, love one another, and embody the mission of The Rock Church to make Jesus known by being disciple-makers.
WHY SHOULD I JOIN A SMALL GROUP COMMUNITY?
God exists in community and has made us in His image. As we live life together, we most reflect God and how He has created His church and people to be. Therefore, when we are not living in community, we suffer, because life in a sinful world is too complex and tempting to journey alone.
HOW DO I JOIN A SMALL GROUP COMMUNITY?
We encourage you to find an SGC in your neighbourhood. Our groups meet throughout the week from Monday to Thursday, with various locations and times. Follow the link here to find a group that works for you.
WHEN DO SMALL GROUP COMMUNITIES START?
Our SGC’s operate in three semesters (fall, winter and spring), with a short breaks at Christmas and Easter, and a longer break over the summer. Although community never takes a break, we believe it is healthy for our SGC leaders to have a time of rest.
