It's All About Making Jesus Known in Squamish!

Our vision is to reach young men and women who are moving into the growing downtown area of Squamish for Christ. That vision includes a visible missionary outpost in the downtown core for The Rock Church’s Ministry Centre, Discipleship School of Theology and Training Centre and Ledge Cafe with Live Music.

A few months after the launch of The Rock Church we were able to purchase a commercial building in the heart of downtown Squamish. This in itself was a miracle for our young church. Today, we have a team of young men and women, families, community business leaders and faithful prayer warriors who are on mission with us as we begin the process of turning this beautiful building into The Rock’s Ministry Centre and The Ledge Cafe!

Our vision is to live out our mission 7 days a week in this place . The 180° Campaign is our way of asking you to partner with us to reach the lost for Christ in Squamish. Tremendous progress has been made on the renovations and as a result we are just a few months away from completion and moving in! The Vision

Our desire is to reach young men and women for Christ in Squamish by:

  • Making Jesus known and seeing lives transformed by being missionally present in the community
  • Contributing to the redemption of the culture through music, art and community through…
  • The restoration of this beautiful building and leading a 180° restoration of the downtown area

 

The Need

Squamish has become the go to place for young outdoor recreation enthusiasts in BC. In the past 7 years over 60% of the population growth in Squamish has been young men and women under 30. Most have no church background. They are choosing Squamish for:

  • Lifestyle—World-class rock climbing, wind-surfing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing and skiing
  • Education—Squamish has 2 Universities, a Capilano University Campus and the new private Quest University
  • Work—in Squamish, Whistler or Vancouver



The Plans

Our building will be home to The Rock Church’s Ministry Centre and The Ledge Cafe providing:

  • Coffee with a cause, great food and Free Wi-fi
  • Live music, seminars and presentations
  • Programs for kids, youth and adults
  • Rock Church offices, meeting & prayer rooms
  • Sunday night Rock Church gatherings
  • Rock Church Ministry Classes: Baptism, Foundations and Membership
  • The Rock’s Discipleship School of Theology



The Budget

The Total Budget for renovations and equipment is $318,000.00.

To complete the project and open The Rock’s Ministry Centre and The Ledge Cafe we require:

  • $109,000.00 in total additional funds
  • *As of October 25th, 2011
