MAKE THE RESOLUTION THAT WILL LEAD TO LIFE CHANGE
Another one of our traditions over the years at The Rock has been to encourage our church family to read through the Bible, the whole Bible in one year. For many of us that sounds like a daunting task. For some of us who have tried to read the whole Bible in one year and, like so many of our resolutions failed, it may feel even more challenging to try again. To all of you we want to say, “Try again this year! It’s really worth it!”
This year we’re simply listing a couple of resources and readings plans that you can check out and then choose one that might work best for you. The Life Journal is one reading plan that we strongly recommend. The have a printed booklet that you can purchase and use daily to follow the readings as well as write in the journal following the plan they suggest. One piece of advice they give which is very encouraging is this. If you miss a day or two or even more, don’t go back and try to catch up, just continue at the day you are now at. As many of us who have done this will attest, if you follow that model the first year, surprise, the next year you will actually do much better!

This is a great online website for both Bible study and reading that also has a ‘Plan’ tab where you can search all of the most popular Bible reading plans available today including The Life Journal Plan! They also have a great APP that you can download to your Smartphone or Tablet. Download the APP today, pick a plan and get started January 1. Once you’ve downloaded the APP and added the Life Journal Reading Plan to your settings, you can join pastor Glenn and others at The Rock by searching for Glenn or another member who is journaling with us and join the group!
