We continue in the Gospel of Luke where we find Jesus so tired from a heavy day of ministry that he falls asleep in a boat as he and his disciples cross the Sea of Galilee. Luke: Meals With Jesus and Sinners, 7:36—8:3, September 9, 2018

As we return to the Gospel of Luke we find Jesus has been invited to dinner at the home of Simon the Pharisee. His motives become clear during the meal when a woman of the city appears and begins to wash, anoint and kiss Jesus’ feet. Tension builds and then Jesus teaches Simon a lesson!
