Today we continue our series from the Gospel According to Mark—Kingdom Come, God's Reign in a Chaotic World. We conclude Part I in our series and our Study Guides with a continuation of the pivotal moment that we heard about last Sunday between Jesus and the apostle Peter. After Peter’s profession of faith in Jesus as the Christ, Jesus makes the first of several statements declaring that the Messiah must suffer and die. Well, Peter’s response to that news provokes a strong rebuke from Jesus and, as we will learn, the call therefore that Jesus has for those who would follow Him.
