We continue our series in the Gospel According to Mark—Kingdom Come, God's Reign in a Chaotic World. This week we move into a longer passage in which all of the events may not, upon first reading, appear to be connected. The passage is bookended with Mark recording what appear to be two separate 'interventions' by the family of Jesus, who are concerned about His welfare. In addition, the religious Scribes take their accusations against Jesus to a new low, accusing Him of having a demon. Jesus' response is both a parable and a strong rebuke. Throughout the whole of the text there is however, a unifying theme, that we will see on Sunday. Read Mark 3:20-35 in advance to prepare for the message, and remember to bring your Study Guides!
