Revelation: Jesus’s Wake Up Call to a Sleepy Church, 3:1-6, November 1, 2026

We continue in our series—Revelation, The Unveiling of Jesus Christ. This week we move on to Chapter 3 and the letter to the church in Sardis, a small town built on a steep, seemingly unassailable cliff. Yet it was conquered twice in its history because its guards grew complacent and literally fell asleep at their posts. The Christians in Sardis weren't necessarily suffering from a dramatic moral collapse, whether through compromise or the outright tolerance of sin in the church; rather, they had slowly drifted into a deep spiritual slumber. Join us as we hear Jesus call for them to “Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die.” Read Revelation 3:1-6 in preparation for the message and be sure to bring your Study Guide to take some notes for MCG discussions.
